BRUCE C. DUFFY, DIRECTOR

Bruce C. Duffy, DIRECTOR

Born in British Columbia, Bruce is the youngest child and only boy of the Duffy family. Raised in Coquitlam he graduated from Centennial High School. Throughout his youth Bruce was active in soccer, football and baseball. Even today Bruce strives to stay fit in body and mind so he can continue challenging himself and learning new things.

After high school graduation, Bruce moved to the small town of Redwater, Alberta where he worked for Esso Chemical Canada. After two years of saving tuition money he put himself through the Civil Engineering Diploma Program offered by Edmonton's Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Bruce enjoyed all that college life had to offer while living with his best friend. Despite all the fun and distractions Bruce managed to graduate successfully in 1985.

Bruce’s first job after graduation was with Hardy & Associates in Edmonton where he gained valuable experience in material testing. He went on to become a construction superintendent with Ellis Don working on large projects such as Canada Olympic Park in Calgary. Bruce returned home to BC in 1988 where he spent several years in banking, gaining valuable experience in finance.

Bruce returned to Civil Engineering in 1991. Over the next 15 years Bruce was worked with at three private sector Civil Engineering firms, gaining extremely valuable experience on all facets of small to large land development projects across BC. Bruce enthusiastically engaged in the business side of these firms by assisting with marketing and business growth strategizing. He fed this passion with a healthy appetite for business, sales and marketing books and has since grown tremendously in this skillset.

Bruce has never looked back since the launch of 'Core Concept Consulting Ltd.' and excitedly anticipates the continued growth of a company that he, his partners and staff can be proud of for years to come. When Bruce isn't working he thoroughly enjoys the married life with his wife of 14 years his 2 sons and 2 daughters all of whom he is very proud of.

Bruce is fond of time spent living on a farm in Langley under the roof of a home he helped his parents build. Here he experienced a lifestyle far more labourious than that typically found in the city. Here Bruce shared the work required to grow vegetables and raising horses and cattle. He attributes his work ethic to the steadfast principles demonstrated by his mother and father. Fun included riding motorcycles and coverting Volkswagon bugs into dune buggies by removing the fenders and windows when Bruce was between his farm chores.

Bruce lives by the good ethics learned in his youth and has been quoted saying one should "respect other people’s money as if it were your own". To this day he strongly believes the best marketing is to offer the highest quality service delivered with integrity.

In November 2007, Bruce joined with his partners to launch ‘Core Concept Consulting Ltd.’. Bruce is heavily involved in marketing and sales. Bruce attributes his keen interest in this area to his father's who was a very successful salesman for over 25 years. He credits the strength of Core Concept Consulting to the values and ethics of the Directors and staff.
